Diving in Maldives
Liveaboards MV/Manthir covering approximately 200-250 miles through a
number of atolls. All cruising is done during
daylight hours.
Normally the vessel is anchored in calm waters by sunset, often near an
uninhabited island or near a deserted sandbar. There are no bugs to distract
and the air temperature pleasantly varies between 80 and 90 Fahrenheit, with
water temperatures between 83 and 86 degrees. |

Diving
in Maldives Liveaboards MV/Manthir : all diving is done from an accompanying
dive boat which is fitted with two Bauer compressors, tanks, and dive
equipment stowage. Oxygen and first-aid, too, are available on board both
vessels, and, if needed, decompression chamber and hyperbaric doctor are
available on a local resort. A superb crew of 11 including 2 dive masters
ensure a personalized high standard of service worthy of a world-class
live-aboard like MANTHIRI. |

date and ends at 08.00AM on the
end date.
We recommend that the clients arrive one day prior to
departure. Pre and post tour hotel accommodation, if
required, can be arranged on request.
We meet and greet you at Male' Airport on arrival and
departure.
*If you are booked at a hotel in Male' or the airport, we
pick you up from the hotel for the tour and return to the
hotel at the end of the tour.
*If you are booked in a resort through us or another
company, we pick you up from Male' Airport for the tour and
return you to the airport at the end of the tour. |

You will feel at home in the un-crowded living space of
this wide beamed vessel heavily built and finished with quality timber. We
accommodate maximum 12 divers in 6 spacious cabins, comprising of 4 twins
and 2 doubles, with queen size beds and large en suites with hot water
showers and hairdryers. The cabins have mini-bar, locker and drawers for
clothes and luggage stowage under the bed.
Relaxing with the welcome drink served by our courteous
waiter, your first impression of the boat is perhaps her signature salon
furnished with upholstered sofas and chairs, music system, TV and VCR with
video camera viewing facilities and camera tables---one of the largest and
most comfortable salons found on any vessel of this size in existence. Two
round tables each seating six guests stand on one side of the salon opening
into a smaller one in the rear conveniently laid for working cameras with a
lounge chair and light table. Slide projector and E-6 are at hand and ample
220 (British Standard square pin plugs) and 110 (US Standard flat plugs)
volt power outlets, no transformers or adaptors needed. This is a vessel
designed and equipped with underwater photographers in mind. NITROX is
available.
The top deck with the shaded area furnished with deck
chairs is the place for soaking in the sun or star gaze in the evening,
lying down if you prefer on an adjustable padded chair. The common bar with
the ice-maker is in the shade.
The day begins with the mini breakfast. The full breakfast
is after the first dive which commences at 7:00AM . Snacks are served
between the dives. All the meals are sit- down. The food is delicious,
abundant and nourishing. |

Accommodation aboard on twin or double sharing.
Meals and snacks, tea/coffee/juice, bottled drinking water, wine
at dinner.
Three to four dives daily with tank and weights.
Services of a PADI qualified and highly experienced English
speaking dive master.
Pickup and drop-off at Male Airport on scheduled departure and

IMPORTANT
The minimum qualification for diving is
PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent. Those arrive without
qualification, the training needed can be completed on board in
six days for a fee of US$500.
QUALIFIED DIVERS
MUST POSSESS THEIR CERTIFICATION CARD FOR DIVING ON MANTNHRI.
