Diving.
On board we have a fully equipped PADI licensed dive school
offering courses for beginners up to several Specialty Courses
for the more experienced divers. All the equipment will soon be
located on a newly built diving dhoni, specially designed for
this purpose and will have the latest technologies available in
the diving market, such as Nitrox breathing mixtures prepared
with top quality equipment (Nuvair Membranes and Coltrisub
Compressors).
The MV Carpe Diem is a totally new 35 m long motor safari yacht with a wooden hull, designed and built by an experienced Maldivian boat builder and completed in 2008. It has 3 decks plus a sundeck.
The lower deck has
- 6 standard cabins
- 2 separate staff cabins
- The engine room - Crew compartment
On the main deck you will find
The main you will find bar and lounge area, with a coffee / tea table offering you coffee/tea and drinking water from our osmotic plant 24 hours a day. It also has a wide flat screen TV, DVD/MP3 player, in house sound system, sitting/dance area and a fully equipped bar offering you a wide variety of spirits, wines, liquors, cocktails and beers.
- Outside of the bar area there is another sitting area in the shade with comfortable cushions, where you could have your afternoon tea while cruising and taking in the beautiful colors of the Indian Ocean.
- The galley and a spacious cold room
- Laundry room - A platform at the back of the main deck with two fresh water showers and a jet ski
- An activities deck where the dive briefings, part of the dive school courses and other water sports activities briefings will be conducted.
- Two comfortable High standard rooms
From the outside as well as from the inside a staircase will lead you to the upper deck and bridge area with
- A C-shape sofa/reading area and our in house library.
- Two cabins, our beautiful and very spacious Suite room and Deluxe cabin.
- A studio with internet, a shop and all business centre facilities
- Our small but comfortable spa offering you all kinds of soothing massages and other services.
- Main dining area and bar where you will be served semi buffet meals prepared by our fine dining chef. The dining tables can be folded away after dinner to create a nice bar and dancing area.
From the dining area a staircase ultimately leads you to a 115 sqm sun deck, which is partially shaded and has a sitting area in the middle and some lounge chairs to catch that nice tan. The area is also excellent for salsa workshops.
