Blue Lagoon :
Designed by both an experienced Maldivian boat builder the
Blue Lagoon 100,s is a motor safari yacht with a deep V shaped chine bottom
Hull made up of Ballau timber with top marine qualities. All decks and over
water superstructures are in fiberglass, while the boatyard has opted for
decks with a core in high density expanded marine wood, with a task of
ensuring the necessary rigidity for the structure and a high Thermal-
acoustic insulator in the engine Rooms. The walls dividing the various rooms
are made of a sandwich structure of two walls in marine plywood. The
interiors, realized in a combination of fine woods such as teak, mahogany
and pine are welcoming and rich in accessories throughout, dedicated to
comfort and relaxation. The Reception and the lobby area on the main deck
comprises spacious c shaped sofa with central coffee table, a standard fully
equipped bar with a variety of wines, spirits, liquors, beers and Carlsberg
draft beer as well. The restaurant, with adjacent to the bar and lobby area
can accommodate full house guest with buffet counters. A luxury common
change room with toilet, spacious full equipped kitchen, and a laundry has
been located on the main deck. All interior flooring is covered in 12mm
coconut timber, Stereo Unit, LCD, DVD, TV with air conditioning and
lacquered wood ceiling. All exterior is covered with 12mm teak planking with
a mat finishing,
From this area a wooden staircase leads to the wheel house
(upper deck) which can also be reached from outside. In this area too there
is a living area with C-shaped sofa with a central table, a shop, cyber
café, and office and captains room. On this Deck the interior flooring is
covered with 12mm coconut timber, with air conditioning and lacquered wooden
ceiling, and the exterior is covered with non skid fiberglass. The rear end
of the deck is an open teak covered stainless steel staircase leads to the
sundeck.
The spacious swimming platform, located astern is just six
inches from sea level for the convenience of the guest. There are a total of
20 lateral portholes, all in stainless steel and armored glass. Modern heat
and smoke alarm systems are located.
The deck under the main deck is completely taken by the
cabins of which six on either sides and one in the bow for guests, the size
of rooms are aprox. 9’x13’ and the toilets 9’x3.5’ The rear end of this deck
is located staff quarters area ( 10’x 28’) with toilet , the stores area (
28’x 4’) . |
